New Drop Off/Pick Up Location

DMS Parents/Guardians,
Our DMS parent drop off and pick up will be at a different location for the 2018-19 school year.  There will be signs posted to help guide you. You will need to go east on 10th street, left onto Bluff Street or for some, you will be coming down East 9th Street Hill.  You will see an open gate area that takes you into a one way area (this used to be the exit lane for busses last year) where you can drop off your student, then continue to follow the one way exit that is clearly marked taking you to 8th street, where you see Cleland Park on the right. (This was formerly the entrance into the parking lot.)  You will either continue straight past Cleland Park, or turn left on 8th towards Grand Ave.
We appreciate your patience through this whole process. We understand it is different that what you have been used to and we have asked the police department to help us with this transition.  Thank you for your cooperation and help.

DMS will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation beginning in June of 2018. The project will consist of several phases and will include the construction of a new building with six new state-of-the-art classrooms, a new media/technology center, a new cafeteria, and new Band and Choir rooms. This building will be attached to the current 7th/8th grade building. The initial phase also includes the construction of a new office and main entrance into the building.

The new building is scheduled to be open for the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. During the 2018-2019 school year classes that were previously held in the 6th grade building will be held in the upstairs classrooms in the Delta Performing Arts Center.

The second phase will involve improving the grounds around our campus with the demolition of the current cafeteria and the addition of an outdoor classroom and a second practice football field.

This project is made possible by the BEST grant from the State of Colorado.

We could not be more excited for this project to begin and then for the opportunity for our staff and students to enjoy our updated campus.
